MIAMI-DADE, FL — On the evening of Friday, February 21, 2025, a fatal crash on West Okeechobee Road tragically claimed the life of local motorcyclist Gustavo Cebrian. The family is now being represented by The Perazzo Law Firm, which has launched an independent investigation into the events surrounding the collision.
According to the official police report, the incident occurred around 8:50 PM, when a driver later identified as Ivis Grauvalera was traveling southbound on Frontage Road. She attempted to make a left turn into 9811 West Okeechobee Road. During that turn, the motorcycle collided with the rear passenger side of her vehicle.
Ivis later told police she “never saw the motorcycle coming.” That statement — and the actions leading up to the crash — are now part of a larger review by attorneys and investigators working on behalf of the Cebrian family.
First responders from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived quickly and initiated CPR efforts. Unfortunately, Gustavo was pronounced dead at 8:57 PM on the scene.
As noted in the police report, Ivis Grauvalera was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and an expired registration. She was issued citations on the spot, but no criminal charges were filed — a decision that has raised serious questions and community concern.
Shortly after midnight, the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of Gustavo’s body. His 2009 Yamaha YZF-R6 motorcycle was towed and impounded as part of the ongoing investigation.
A video of the incident has since been recovered and reviewed. While the footage is graphic, it is being preserved as critical evidence.
